Mid-October is peak color and peak programming on Lake Norman. The Cain Center for the Arts hosts Chatham Rabbits, Dark Echoes, and the North Carolina Youth Orchestra, BoatYard pairs the Wannabe Spice Girls tribute with Post Nation & Ella Nation, A Taste of Davidson and Lake Norman Diwali fill Saturday, the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inducts its 2026 class in Mooresville, and the Carolina Renaissance Festival keeps its weekend run. The third full week of October brings the year's best color to Lake Norman and one of its richest concert calendars. The Cain Center for the Arts hosts the Americana duo Chatham Rabbits on Friday, the live band Dark Echoes on Saturday, and the North Carolina Youth Orchestra on Sunday, while BoatYard Lake Norman double-headers with the Wannabe Spice Girls tribute on Friday and the Post Nation & Ella Nation pairing on Saturday. A Taste of Davidson and Lake Norman Diwali anchor a busy Saturday, the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inducts its 2026 class in Mooresville on Thursday, the Carolina Renaissance Festival continues its weekend run, and the weekly music and dining circuit holds steady. Monday, October 12

Bridge Lunch at the Cain Center for the Arts (21348 Catawba Ave, Cornelius) at 12:30 PM. Free and open to all, this is the Cain Center's regular Monday gathering and a gentle way to ease into the week.

Monday evening, Broadway trivia and Music Bingo rotate across the Cornelius brewery circuit. Lost Worlds Brewing (19700 One Norman Blvd, Cornelius) runs its Monday trivia from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with plenty of biergarten seating for a casual start to the week.

Tuesday, October 13

Thinkin' & Drinkin' Trivia at Old Town Public House (21314 Catawba Ave, Cornelius) from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Free and a long-running Cornelius favorite in the heart of Old Town.

At Lost Worlds Brewing, the Beer Trekkers Run Club meets at 6:30 PM followed by Music Bingo at 7:00 PM. Run a few miles, then settle in for bingo on the biergarten.

Also Tuesday: Jack's Corner Tap (8301 Magnolia Estates Dr, Cornelius) runs its Tuesday chicken and dumplings and half-priced wine specials.

Wednesday, October 14

Jazz Night at Old Town Public House (21314 Catawba Ave, Cornelius) from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Free, with live jazz in a relaxed Old Town setting. A Cornelius staple every Wednesday.

LostAsana Yoga takes over the biergarten at Lost Worlds Brewing at 6:30 PM for an outdoor class, and Wine Down Wednesday returns on South Street in Davidson at 6:30 PM with wine tastings, boutique shopping, and sidewalk socializing.

Game Night at Torrence and Knox (20936 Torrence Chapel Rd, Cornelius) runs at 6:30 PM, free and family-friendly, and Mac's Speed Shop Lake Norman (19601 Liverpool Pkwy, Cornelius) hosts LKN Jeep Night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM with live music, $11 PBR buckets, $5 Jameson shots, and $5.50 drafts.

Thursday, October 15

Music Bingo at BoatYard Lake Norman (18418 Statesville Rd, Cornelius) runs from 7:00 PM, free and all ages, on the waterfront deck, while the Acoustic Til Thursday Night Football series continues from 6:00 PM with live acoustic music leading into game time.

Lost Worlds Brewing runs its Thursday trivia at 7:00 PM with live music in the biergarten from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Also Thursday: Fresh Chef (20601 Torrence Chapel Rd, Cornelius) runs a half-price select wine bottle special.

In Mooresville, the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame holds its 2026 Induction Ceremony at the Charles Mack Citizen Center (215 N Main St) from 5:30 to 10:30 PM, honoring this year's inductees including Arrogance, Billy Strayhorn, MC SHA-ROCK, Sugar Bear, and Barry Poss, with George Clinton receiving the Eddie Ray Lifetime Achievement Award. Friday, October 16

The headline show of the week: Wannabe, billed as a Spice Girls tribute, takes the waterfront stage at BoatYard Lake Norman (18418 Statesville Rd, Cornelius) at 8:00 PM. The show is 21+, and tickets are about $20 in advance and $25 at the door at boatyardlkn.com. Arrive early for a waterfront table.

At the Cain Center for the Arts (21348 Catawba Ave, Cornelius), Chatham Rabbits, the North Carolina Americana and folk duo, plays at 7:30 PM. Tickets at cainarts.org. It is a rare hometown pairing of the duo's close harmonies and the Cain Center's intimate hall.

Harp and Crown (19930 W Catawba Ave, Cornelius) serves all 16 oz drafts for $5 all Friday alongside live music, one of the best-value evenings in Cornelius. Live music also lands across the circuit at Lost Worlds Brewing, Old Town Public House, and Royal Bliss, with many shows starting between 6:00 and 7:00 PM. Saturday, October 17

Davidson Farmers Market runs from 9:00 AM to noon at 120 S. Main St in Davidson. Fresh produce, local baked goods, artisan crafts, and live music on the square to start the weekend.

A Taste of Davidson, the town's free-admission downtown food festival, fills Jetton Street at the Circles (605 Jetton Street) from 5:00 to 10:00 PM, with local restaurants and breweries offering small tastes, live music, and a family-friendly block party. It is one of the biggest food events of the year in Davidson, a short drive from Watermark.

Lake Norman Diwali lights up Veterans Park (201 Huntersville-Concord Rd, Huntersville) from 1:30 to 6:30 PM with music, dance, food trucks, and cultural performances. The free, family-friendly festival, hosted by Heart2Harmony with Huntersville Parks & Recreation, is a short drive south from Watermark.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival continues its 2026 season Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at 16445 Poplar Tent Rd in Huntersville, about 20 minutes from Watermark. The 25-acre 16th-century village features around 1,000 costumed performers, a full-contact jousting tournament, falconry demonstrations, live music, circus and comedy acts, artisan crafts, and Renaissance pubs, with free parking. The festival runs weekends October 3 through November 22.

Saturday evening is a tribute doubleheader. At the Cain Center for the Arts, Dark Echoes, a live cover band, plays at 7:30 PM, while BoatYard Lake Norman hosts Post Nation & Ella Nation at 8:00 PM, tributes to Post Malone and Ella Langley billed as the "Rusty Rudder Reunion" (21+, tickets at boatyardlkn.com).
