The first full week of October is one of the liveliest of the fall on Lake Norman. Laketoberfest fills Bailey Road Park with live music, NC beer and wine, and food trucks on Saturday, the Cain Center for the Arts hosts a full slate from comedian Jimmie Walker to the Jazz Legacy Project and an Eagles tribute, BoatYard pairs two tribute nights with the Carolina Renaissance Festival weekend in Huntersville, and the weekly music and dining circuit keeps its rhythm. Monday, October 5 Recap
Bridge Lunch at the Cain Center for the Arts (21348 Catawba Ave, Cornelius) at 12:30 PM. Free and open to all, this is the Cain Center's regular Monday gathering and a gentle way to ease into the week.
Monday evening, Broadway trivia and Music Bingo rotate across the Cornelius brewery circuit. Lost Worlds Brewing (19700 One Norman Blvd, Cornelius) runs its Monday trivia from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with plenty of biergarten seating for a casual start to the week.
Tuesday, October 6 Recap
Thinkin' & Drinkin' Trivia at Old Town Public House (21314 Catawba Ave, Cornelius) from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Free and a long-running Cornelius favorite in the heart of Old Town.
At Lost Worlds Brewing, the Beer Trekkers Run Club meets at 6:30 PM followed by Music Bingo at 7:00 PM. Run a few miles, then settle in for bingo on the biergarten.

Free live music fills the Cornelius circuit tonight. The acoustic duo Rose & Thorn plays Harp and Crown (19930 W Catawba Ave, Cornelius) from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, the Late Night Special Duo performs at Peninsula Prime at 6:00 PM, and vocalist Michelle Renee brings jazz and dance to The Alleyway from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, all free and part of Cornelius Today's "Live at the Lake" lineup.
LostAsana Yoga takes over the biergarten at Lost Worlds Brewing at 6:30 PM for an outdoor class, and Wine Down Wednesday returns on South Street in Davidson at 6:30 PM with wine tastings, boutique shopping, and sidewalk socializing.
Game Night at Torrence and Knox (20936 Torrence Chapel Rd, Cornelius) runs at 6:30 PM, free and family-friendly. Note that Old Town Public House is listed as temporarily closed on some directories, so verify its weekly lineup on its Facebook page before heading over.

Saturday, October 10
The big draw of the weekend: Laketoberfest at Bailey Road Park (11536 Bailey Rd, Cornelius) from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. This free community festival features live music, local North Carolina beer and wine, food trucks, and a KidsZone with crafts and games, with proceeds benefiting Lake Norman Wildlife. Minutes from Watermark, it is one of the best fall events in town.
Davidson Farmers Market runs from 9:00 AM to noon at 120 S. Main St in Davidson. Fresh produce, local baked goods, artisan crafts, and live music on the square to start the weekend.
In Davidson, the Annual Community Pancake Breakfast runs from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Fire Station 1 (216 S Main St), with pancakes, coffee, and a public engagement session on the town's new Fire Station #1. A friendly neighborhood start to the morning, minutes from Watermark.
The Carolina Renaissance Festival continues its 2026 season Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at 16445 Poplar Tent Rd in Huntersville, about 20 minutes from Watermark. The 25-acre 16th-century village runs weekends October 3 through November 22 with jousting, live stage shows, artisans, themed weekends, and food. Saturday evening is a tribute doubleheader.
