Thursday, August 27

Charlotte Jesters at the Cain Center for the Arts (21348 Catawba Ave, Cornelius) at 7:00 PM. A premier stand-up comedy showcase featuring multiple performers. A great night of laughs at one of Lake Norman's finest cultural venues. Tickets available at cainarts.org.

LangTree Live: Black Glass (Hard Rock) at LangTree Lake Norman (Mooresville) from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Free. Black Glass delivers hard rock hits from the 70s through 90s in this free outdoor concert series. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of rock on the lawn. Located just off the Langtree exit on I-77.

Music Bingo at BoatYard Lake Norman (18418 Statesville Rd, Cornelius) from 7:00 PM. Free, all ages. Right on the lake, just 5 minutes from Watermark. Arrive early for a good table on the waterfront deck.

Also Thursday: Fresh Chef (Cornelius) runs a half-price wine bottle special.

Friday, August 28

Music at the Mill 2026 at the historic Central Roller Mills (Cornelius). A two-day festival running Friday and Saturday celebrating music, art, and community at one of Lake Norman's most iconic historic landmarks. Visit the venue for showtimes and ticket details.

Legends of New Country: Wallen & Wilson at BoatYard Lake Norman (18418 Statesville Rd, Cornelius) starting 8:00 PM. A tribute to Morgan Wallen and Wilson Phillips with lakeside views, craft cocktails, and a full dinner menu. Tickets available at boatyardlkn.com. Just 5 minutes from Watermark.

Wagon Load A Trouble at The Cabin LKN (Davidson) at 7:00 PM. Free. An acoustic and folk duo bringing original music and classic covers to one of Lake Norman's coziest music rooms.

760 Craft Works (100 Gilead Rd, Huntersville) features live music starting at 6:30 PM. Free. A relaxed craft brewery setting about 10 minutes from Watermark.

Several Cornelius restaurants offer live acoustic music on Friday evenings. A relaxed night out before the big bluegrass event on Saturday.

Saturday, August 29 · Big day

Music at the Mill 2026 continues through Saturday at the historic Central Roller Mills (Cornelius). Day two of this two-day music and arts festival.

Lake Norman Bluegrass Jamboree at Lost Worlds Brewing Company (19700-D One Norman Blvd, Cornelius) from 3:00 to 10:00 PM. Free and family-friendly, dog-friendly. The event features:

• Charlotte Folk Society Jam from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. An open bluegrass and folk jam session welcoming musicians of all skill levels.
• Charlotte Mandolin Orchestra from 5:00 to 5:30 PM. A unique ensemble performance showcasing mandolin arrangements.
• Carolina Ridgeline from 7:00 to 9:15 PM. The headline act closes out the evening with high-energy bluegrass. This Cornelius-based band is known for tight harmonies, blazing instrumentals, and original songs that blend traditional bluegrass with modern influences.

Food served by Lost Worlds Kitchen from 12:00 to 9:00 PM. Bring a blanket or chair and settle in for an afternoon and evening of live bluegrass music in one of Cornelius's best brewery spaces.

Davidson Music & Makers Concert Series: Doubting Thomas at The Crazy Pig (402 S Main St, Davidson) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Free. This week's featured act in Davidson's free outdoor concert series brings folk and Americana to the heart of downtown Davidson. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy live music on the lawn.
